“Business Forum of Uzbekistan” Project invites to participate in the training programme on exporting to European markets

Aims and objectives: The training programme aims to improve knowledge of senior and middle level corporate managers in the area of exports promotion to European markets.

Questions: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UNDP Project “Business Forum of Uzbekistan” invite senior managers of interested companies involved in export activities to participate in the training programme on exporting to European markets. Participants will be given opportunity to learn main stages and procedures in the export operations, terms and requirements of EU countries in relation to imports and to establish partnership relationships with representatives of European businesses. Candidates successfully passed the selection process will be invited to participate in a five-day training programme in Tashkent and eight-day study tour in Prague, Czech Republic. All costs except for air ticket (cost of return air ticket to be paid by participants) related with the participation in the training programme and study tour will be covered by the UNDP Project “Business Forum of Uzbekistan” and Czech Trust Fund. Requirements for candiates: • Higher education; • At least 3-years of managerial experience; • Fluency in Russian language (competence in English language is welcomed); • Position held at present time – general manager of an enterprise/organization or head of export unit; • Existence of exporting potential of the company; • Companies operating in the following industries are welcome to submit applications: ? Agro-processing, including, production of dried fruits and vegetables; ? Manufacturing of textile and sewing products; • Existence of exit visa (with the valid date at least till June 15, 2009) and valid passport at least till September 15, 2009.

Opinions and comments: Deadline for application submisstion: May 06, 2009 The selection of candidates will be conducted based on applications review and personal interviews. Selection will be based on professional and managerial qualities of candidates and exporting potential of an enterprise.
