In frame of EC on: Improving the system of private sector human resources development, Small and private business development
Aims and objectives: - Stressing the needs of Uzbekistan private sector in qualified workforce; - Receiving views of participants on eliminating gap between private sector and local business educational institutions, including in preparing by the latter demanded specialists for the private sector; - Discussing the prospects of better organization of business education in Uzbekistan; - Sharing the UK practice in cooperation between educational institutions and private sector.
Questions: Following issues were discussed: - Private sector needs in qualified workforce in Uzbekistan; - Current situation in cooperation between Uzbekistan higher education institutions and businesses (including SMEs); - Identifying the directions of demanded business education programs; - Purposefulness of establishing joint training institution; - Adjusting educational institutions teaching programs in line with private sector needs; - Establishing partnerships between educational institutions; - Building partnerships between UK and Uzbekistan business support institutions and educational institutions for implementing joint activities on private sector development in Uzbekistan; - Possible directions of further improving business oriented education, including training programs: legal, institutional and financing aspects.
