Aims and objectives:

The aim of conducting the current event was to present and discuss recently developed “Welfare Improvement Strategy of Uzbekistan” with the members of AmCham. It should be noted that the AmCham is one of the mostly active groups in Uzbekistan and its members have some good records in advising the Government on SME development, tax, trade and investment policies – their expertise and networking can be valuable for generating ideas and promoting solutions in areas which are of vital importance for development of vibrant private sector in the country.

Following issues were discussed: - The volume of investments that will be directed to implementation of the strategy; - the sources of financing for implementing the strategy; - Overall situation within the economy of Uzbekistan.
