Aims and objectives:

In an effort to maintain the dialog in the context of work carried out on Customs code project reworking, joint project of UNDP and State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Perfection of the custom administration system in Uzbekistan” June 22, 2007 in the conference hall of “Grand orzu” hotel it was conducted EC meeting on discussion of Customs code project’s standings in new edition, regulating issues of customs regime.

The main goal of given EC conduction was bills standings review. Regulating issues of customs regime, for compliance with the existing norms of external trade regulation of the Republic and generally accepted international standards of customs regimes regulating, which allowed discussing issues which impedes the effective foreign economic activity’s realization.

Questions: During the discussion was touched such issues as reasonableness of such concepts combination as “forwarder” and “carrier” in the context of the international transit regime; accuracy interpretation of concepts “temporary storage”, as a customs regime; details of the “liquidation bonded warehouse “conditional release” terms, goods prescriptions order, outward and responsibility for non observance of the given order, many other issues, which has a big importance for foreign economic activity development for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
