Aims and objectives:
On June 20, 2007 in the Center for economic research was conducted Business Forum’s regular meeting on the theme “Fund for reconstruction and development of the Republic of Uzbekistan: development perspectives”.
Country’s private sector representatives, number of key ministries in the sphere of economy and also analytical community and fund specialists participated in the meeting.
Questions: During the meeting participants discussed number of issues of current importance on the fund’s activity, conducted exchange of views on further perfection of its activity and raising its functioning efficiency. In particular, there were discussed questions in the sphere of main tasks and functions of the fund, creation of the additional sources of fund activity financing, priority spheres and directions for financing investment projects from the side of the fund. Form the meeting’s participant’s side there were also expressed feedbacks on the fund’s organizational structure and procedures optimization in their activity. All feedbacks made public during the forum, will be used by working group for further rework of the CER analytical note, entitled as “Fund for reconstruction and development as instrument of ensuring macroeconomic stability in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
