Aims and objectives: On February 5,2007 in the conference hall of the «Poytaht» hotel took place meeting of the Business forum commission Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the republic of Uzbekistan on investment attraction activation, devoted to the report of the concept discussion “Perfection of investment policy in the republic of Uzbekistan” Activity was organized in the form of round table in the context of business forum of Uzbekistan by the UNDP project “Support to investment process for national development” conjointly with Chamber of commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Questions:

The main goal of carrying out that activity was presentation of the concept report “Perfection of investment policy system in the Republic of Uzbekistan” and her discussion with the participants of the round table – members of the expert council. Given concept was prepared by international consultants in the context of the project “Support to investment process for national development”, which was targeted on the rendering support to the government of Uzbekistan in their further improvement of investment process mechanisms and strengthening institutes potential, involved in national investment process.

In the Business forum’s commission meeting participated representatives of the office on the big investment projects valuation under the Cabinet of ministers of the republic of Uzbekistan, Fund for reconstruction and development, association of credit unions, association of business women, international organizations and representatives of private sector. After the concept report presentation participant of the round table expressed their requests regarding report contents “Perfection of the investment policy in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, after took place an active discussion of the issues reflected in the concept.
